Student secures scholarship at Huddersfield Town

Year 11 student Luke B is getting a name for himself in the football industry and last month was offered a scholarship at 2 clubs and an 80% scholarship at Queen Ethelburga.  Luke started playing Football at North Ferriby School at the age of 5, and ended up being scouted at just 6 years of age by Hull City’s Kris Blakeston who played a pivotal role in securing him a trial at Hull. He was then offered a contract by the local football club and played for them for 9 years, winning many games and trophies, including beating Manchester City and playing a tournament in Holland at the age of 14.

More recently Luke has played for both East Riding and Humberside schools and played in the FA Exit Trials where he scored a fantastic goal, several assists and helped his team with several players from premiership clubs to win two games out of three.

Following on from his impressive performance in the Exit Trials he was offered a number of contracts and last month made the decision to sign with professional football club Huddersfield Town A.F.C, where he was welcomed to PPG Canalside by Academy Manager Leigh Bromby. Luke will officially begin his scholarship at the beginning of next season and we wish him the best of luck.
