Students perform in production at Hull Truck Theatre

Prior to the summer break a group of South Hunsley students, who are part of Hull Truck’s Youth Theatre Group, performed in a production called ‘Our Turn’.

Students Alenya A, Ed S and Tuba A all took part in the production which was attended by over 200 people. ‘Our Turn’ was based on the idea that if you were allowed to change anything, what would it be and saw the students act out scenes covering a range of topics including the impact of social media, video gaming and the secret service.

Congratulations to the students involved for their hard work, it is great to see students involved in groups such as Hull Truck’s Youth Theatre and watch them overcome their nerves to deliver an outstanding performance. The group not only teaches students performance tactics but also important life skills such as confidence building, speaking out and the importance of raising your voice. We are very much looking forward to seeing what else these talented students get involved in over the coming years and have no doubt we will see them feature in the whole school production later in the academic year.
