Year 10 Debate

On Friday 6 July, Year 10 students spent their final Religious Studies lesson debating the motion “The voting age should be lowered to 16”.

Having taken their RS exam in May, students used recent lesson time to prepare for the debate and widen their understanding of current developments in social, economic, environmental and political contexts.

Each class argued either for or against the motion and Head of School, Richard Williman, attended several of the debates and said: “Students demonstrated support and respect to each other throughout the debates and I was very impressed with all the contributions made. Well done to everyone who took part and congratulations to each of the winners.”
