Over the February half term a number of our Year 10 students headed to the skiing area of Oberlungau in Austria for the annual Ski Trip. The students and staff travelled by coach to a village called Malta where they skied on the pistes of Grosseck-Spiereck and Mauterndorf. All students throughout the week covered many miles of slopes making great progress as the week went on. Not only did students have the opportunity to improve their skiing skills but they also took part in a range of activities in the evening including swimming, Kegalbahn (bowling), an evening at a local pizzeria and a very competitive quiz night!
Mr Duerden who led the trip said “It was great to see how well the Year 10 students progressed with their skiing throughout the week. It was clear and evident that no matter what the ability of the students, they were determined and focussed on making improvements with their skiing, which was a pleasure to see. Many external providers also commented on how polite and pleasant the group were during their stay in Austria.”
