Year 13 Geography Visit to London

The South Hunsley Geography department was pleased to offer all A2 Geography students the opportunity to visit London from Thursday 30 November until Saturday 2 December. The purpose of this visit was to support the Regeneration and Globalisation topics which will be examined at the end of Year 13.

This practical experience is intended to enhance the quality of the London case studies that students will be using in their exams and the visit included a tour of the Olympic Stadium, including the legacy infrastructure, and a visit to the docklands area to evaluate the sustainability of a recent re-development project. They also examined the sustainability of the integrated transport network, took a journey across the Meridian line at the Royal Observatory, attended a show at the Planetarium and went on the London Eye.
