Year 9 Geography Adventure Visit

For the fourth year running our Geography department was pleased to be able to offer Year 9 students the opportunity to visit Castle Head in Cumbria.

This annual visit, which ran from Friday 17 November until Sunday 19 November, gave students the chance to participate in outdoor activities which are supportive of their classroom learning. The weekend included team building in different environments and scenarios, as well as exploring geographical questions concerning tourism in Bowness on Windermere. Students also participated in a number of team challenges including experiencing new heights on the high/low ropes, using their geographical skills during night time orienteering, canoeing across Lake Windermere and raft building.
