Exam Information

The Examinations Office is responsible for the administration and organisation of all aspects of external examinations in accordance with the regulations laid down by the awarding bodies.

This includes submitting entries for exams to meet Exam Board deadlines, organising Access Arrangements for students requiring additional support, coordinating examination rooms and invigilation required to supervise the students, as well as resolving any problems which may arise beforehand or during the examination sessions. Many answers to students' queries can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions section, but should a student still have concerns, they are welcome to visit the Exams Office in Kingston.

Individual student timetables will be distributed with their seat numbers just before the Easter holidays.

  • JCQ (Exam Board regulator) has stated that all students sitting exams in the summer must remain available until Wednesday 26 June 2019.  This date has been set by the Exam Boards as a contingency day and will be used in the event of national or local disruption to exams, therefore the date that all Y10, Y11 and sixth-form students should still be available for.
  • All other exams, for Y11 and sixth-form will start after Easter (w/c 23 April) with the practical/speaking exams, and the main written ones will begin on the 13 May until the 26 June.

Certificates

Your examination certificates are very important and are evidence of your hard work and school career. If you lose them, they are very expensive to replace, so look after them carefully. Certificates are generally given out during an Awards Evening for GCSEs and A Levels, but if you are unable to attend, you may collect your certificates in person, or send a note explaining that you give permission for someone else to collect them for you.

Summer 2018 GCSE certificates will be available to collect from the main school reception from Monday 19 November 2018. Please contact the school prior to collecting the certificates to notify us of your intentions.
